Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a polygenic autoimmune disease characterized by systemic inflammation and disability of joints. Early diagnosis and treatment could prevent the severity of diseases in RA patients. Using proper miRNAs regulation potential could improve the therapeutic intervention in patients. miRNAs are small, non-coding RNA that regulate the post-transcriptional level of gene expression. miRNAs have important roles in gene expression and pathogenicity of autoimmune diseases as well as in RA. Detecting different expression pattern and their function could facilitate and manage effective therapy in these patients. Herein, we discuss around miRNAs as a therapeutic agent in RA patients.
